The drag ring D=12mm is suitable for mechanical force gauges from 3 N to 25 N.
The plastic ring can be easily slipped over the scale tube and is advanced by the pointer in order to be able to easily read the maximum force after the measurement.
Due to the friction, the drag ring influences the measuring result by approx. 0.3 N to 0.5 N.
